You have probably noticed that the site has been pretty quiet for the last few months. That’s because I have some exciting news, and I’m still working out how this is going to affect the blog. So, first things first, the news:

L I V E  I N  T H E  S U N S H I N E

I’m pregnant with twin boys! The hubby and I are looking forward to meeting The Beans in late September or early October. In the meantime, they’re making their presence felt  in the form of nausea (mostly behind us now, thankfully) and exhaustion (still working back up to “normal” energy levels). Between the ever-present need for a nap and all the things we want/need to have ready before they get here, the days seem considerably shorter.

I knew that being pregnant would mean I would need to step away from the blog for a bit once the babies were born. I had planned to write posts in advance and request guest posts to make up a sort of “maternity leave”. I completely underestimated how much being pregnant itself would affect me. (Rookie mistake 😉

I’m coming back up for air and looking at how to get things in order. I’m going to try to get back to posting on some semblance of a schedule. Right now, I’m thinking that will probably be reviews every two weeks instead of weekly, but we’ll have to see how things go. One thing I am learning quickly is that this process can’t be bossed about.

I appreciate your patience as I find a new normal. In the meantime, we will still have regular posts from Nicole and Sarah. Nicole will continue offering gardening tips for those of you who are turning to your yards as a way to eat locally. Sarah is now doing reviews of local taprooms (her first one went up last week!). And for those of you who have walked this path before me: what are your best tips for eating out with kids?
