Weigh In Wednesday
Last week’s poll asked if you prefer to have dinner before or after evening activities (movies, theater shows, etc.). 89% of respondents prefer to eat beforehand. 56% to avoid being hungry during the show, 22% so that their food can settle and they can do dessert or drinks afterwards, and 11% like beating the crowds. The 11% who preferred to eat after the show, liked the more leisurely pace.

We generally do dinner before the show both to avoid being hungry and to beat the crowds (and sometimes get better prices!). Given my druthers though, I prefer to have a snack before the show and a long leisurely dinner afterwards. I like that the evening lasts longer and we can dissect the show over our meal.

For this week’s poll let’s talk dining companions who run late. When you get somewhere before the person you are meeting, what do you do?

Overdue Dining Companion?
I wait up front until they show, then we get seated together
I’ll go ahead and get a table, but won’t order until they arrive
I’ll get the table, and order without them if they aren’t there in 30 min
I’ll get the table, and order without them if they aren’t there in 15 min
I’ll get the table and order, they’ll get there soon enough
