Weigh In Wednesday
Last week’s poll asked how picky of an eater you are. Not surprisingly for a restaurant review blog we haveno self proclaimed diehards. Instead, 44% of respondents had only a few truly detested foods that they would avoid. 33% were picky and proud, agreeing that life was too short to eat bad food. The remainder of responses were split evenly (11% each) between being forced to be picky (due to allergies, etc) and being willing to eat anything non-lethal.

Personally, I waver between feeling that life is too short for bad food and being willing to eat anything except for my most hated items (mushrooms, I’m looking at you). It depends a lot on the company and the purpose. When I dine out with the hubby, I want a great meal to go with great company. The food is part of the experience and I see no reason to tolerate bad food. On the other hand, business lunches or grabbing a quick bite while traveling are not the time to be grandstanding about food, so I’m much more flexible. It all comes down to context.
